Definitions

Pectin

Any of a group of water-soluble colloidal carbohydrates of high molecular weight found in ripe fruits, such as apples, plums, and grapefruit, and used to jell various foods, drugs, and cosmetics.

Organic

Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides, fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge, bioengineering, or ionizing radiation. In order for a product to be labeled “organic,” a Government-approved certifier must first inspect the farm where the food is grown to make sure the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards are being followed. Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must also be certified.

Nutraceutical

When the ancient Greek Hippocrates said, “Let your food be your medicine and let your medicine be your food,” it was long before the term nutraceutical had been created. Even then the benefits were apparent.

We like to think that our vitamins provide health benefits as well as nutritional ones, and that their benefits go beyond simply helping to provide the minimum daily requirements of certain vitamins and minerals.

Vitamins are an essential part of nutrition, and Primo Vitamins are an excellent way to ensure this. Vitamins are to be taken as part of a healthy diet.

Vegan

Primo Vitamins are certified vegetarian and vegan because they contain no animal products. We use pectin instead of gelatin; pectin comes naturally from fruit versus gelatin, which comes from an animal.

Fruit Vegetable & Fiber

Every body, young and old, needs a certain amount of vitamins and minerals (including anti-oxidants). And there's no better source for anti-oxidants than the "natural" ones that comes from fruits, vegetables and fiber. Primo Vitamins contain the right ingredients in the appropriate balance, and that helps provide the nutrition that is essential to every child's health.
