FAQ

What is the recommended dosage for 2-3 years of age?
We recommend following the dosage on the package. For children under 2 years of age, we recommend speaking with your physician. For children 4 years and older, we recommend 2 gummies daily.

What is the dosage of Primo Vitamins if my child weighs more or less than the average for their age?
If a child is significantly under or overweight for their age, speak with a physician.

What is the best time of day to take vitamins?
Generally, any time of the day is fine. However, we recommend that your child take Primo Vitamins at the same time each day to develop a routine. Keep in mind that some people will experience stomach upset due to the minerals in multivitamins. If this happens we suggest taking the vitamins after a meal.

How long will vitamins stay in one’s system and be absorbed?
A body absorbs as much of the water-soluble vitamins as needed (all B and C vitamins) and excretes the excess amounts through urine. Fat-soluble vitamins such as A and D are stored in fat cells and in the liver. The body controls the amount absorbed and actually increases the amount absorbed when there are vitamin deficiencies in the diet.

What is the sugar content?
The sugar content is 1.5 grams per gummy, comparable to other brands and significantly less than a piece of chewing gum which has 2.0 grams.

What kind of sugar is it?
We only use organic cane sugar, the very healthiest there is.

How does organic cane sugar differ from “regular” sugar?
Organic produce is grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation.

Where are Primo vitamins made?
All of our products, vitamins included, are made in California, where our company office is located

Why can’t I buy them in my local grocery store?
For several good reasons. Vitamins sold in stores can sit on a shelf for many months and lose their freshness and quality over time. Our vitamins can’t, since they are virtually “made to order.” Also, because you’re dealing with us directly, there is no “middle man” and no one to mark the prices up. Consequently, we provide premium products at very attractive prices.

“Vegan” is a word I hear a lot about. What does it mean?
Primo Vitamins are certified vegetarian and vegan because they contain no animal products. We use pectin instead of gelatin, pectin comes naturally from fruit versus gelatin, which comes from an animal.

What colors/dyes are used?
Unlike other vitamins that contain dyes, ours contain only natural colors. And that is why the colors of our vitamins are so vibrant—reds that actually look red and yellows that are truly yellow.

Are the bottles child resistant?
Absolutely. "A push down and turn" type cap is used.
